On 20 June, Crown Princess Mary was there when children libraries' Summer contest "Summer Book 2014" was officially kicked off at noon at Roskilde Library.
When the Crown Princess arrived, she was received by both the Library Director, Mogens Vestergaard and Mayor Joy Mogensen, but also by nine year old Wilma Aobakwe Skovgaard Dybdal who had been allowed to be the flower girl. She is the daughter of Lise-Henriette Dybdal, the team leader for Team Children and Youth at Roskilde Library.

The Summer Book project is about the desire to read, and all children aged 7-14 years can participate.
Children from across Denmark are participating in Summer Book on the country's children's libraries and their joint website Pallesgavebod.dk
