The EU has designated the Aarhus European Capital of Culture in 2017 following a competition organized by the Ministry of Culture and an international jury recommendation.
The Capital of Culture 2017 Aarhus supported by regional NSW and municipalities in the region.
The theme of the Culture Capital is RETHINK and has emerged based on input from more than 8,000 citizens. The cultural capital is a space to experiment and rethink the way we live.
The project with culture as the focal focus on urban development, integration, business, tourism, infrastructure and international collaborations.
